Mobile massage at Schiphol: the therapist travels out to your room
Every booking with the house is mobile: there is no studio, no incall address and nowhere to visit. At Schiphol the journey she makes is longer than in town, and that changes how the hour is set.
A mobile massage is one that comes to you. For people working in the business district beside the runways that is the only kind that makes sense: after a day of meetings, nobody wants to take a taxi into the city to lie down in a stranger's room. A mobile massage at Schiphol starts in central Amsterdam, where the therapists live, in the centre, De Pijp, the Jordaan and Oud-Zuid, and ends at your hotel door near the airport.
How the journey is agreed
In the city the house works to a window of forty to sixty minutes from confirmation. The airport sits outside that window, so every booking at Schiphol, Schiphol-Oost and Schiphol-Rijk is answered with a journey time instead: an honest estimate of the trip out from where her evening begins, given the hour and the day. You agree to it, or choose a later hour, before anything is fixed. Evenings after the commuter traffic tend to be straightforward; a Friday at five rarely is. The journey time entry in the glossary explains how it is worked out.
The trip itself costs nothing. The rates on the profiles are the same at the airport as beside a canal, and every booking out by the runways is confirmed by a deposit of half once the hour is agreed.
What she brings with her
A mobile session travels in one bag. She brings oil, the towels that go over the bed, and for nuru the gel and a waterproof sheet. What she cannot bring is a warm room or a good shower, which is why the format you choose should suit the room you are in. Oil formats need only warmth. Gel and soap formats need a shower you would be happy to stand in, and a floor that does not mind a little water.
What makes the arrival easy
Most of the delay at the end of a long journey happens in the last fifty metres: the wrong entrance, a lift that needs a key card, a corridor that turns twice. Put the room number in the thread, say whether the lift needs a card and whether she should ask at reception, and be near your phone around the agreed hour. If the hotel prefers visitors to be met in the lobby, go down when she writes that she is close.
Regulars who book the same hotel every week find that the second visit needs none of this, because the thread already holds it. The page on asking for the same therapist covers how the next booking can be shorter still.
